Rocky Mount-Union Pines tennis playoff matchup moved to Wednesday

ROCKY MOUNT - Rain postponed Rocky Mount's second round NCHSAA 3-A girls dual team tennis encounter with Cameron Union Pines Tuesday. Rocky Mount is 18-4, while Union Pines is 13-1.
The two teams will meet Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Sunset Park.
The Big East's only other team in the playoffs, Wilson Fike, got its match in Tuesday in Greenville.
The Golden Demons (19-3) reached the third round Tuesday with their 6-0 victory over D.H. Conley. Should Rocky Mount win Wednesday, Fike would come to Rocky Mount next Tuesday for the East semifinals. |
