South Central ends Rocky Mount's season

ROCKY MOUNT - South Cenral played small ball and got a big win Tuesday night at Gryphon Stadium.
The Falcons used the bunt and sacrifice on a regular basis and they propelled them to a 4-2 NCHSAA 3-A second-round win over the defending state champion Gryphons.
South Central (14-10) will now face Eastern Wayne in the third round Friday. The Warriors downed East Carteret 5-3 Monday to advance.
Ethan Cochran went the distance to get the win for the Falcons, while Benton Moss suffered the first loss of his two-year career (14-1) in getting the loss.
