RMHS to hold Winter/Spring Sports Banquet Thursday

Tickets are now available for the 2009 Rocky Mount High School Winter/Spring Sports Banquet to be held on Thursday, May 21 at 6 p.m. in the school's main gym.
For the first time in many years, a meal will be served as part of the ceremony. Advance tickets are $10 each and can be purchased during school hours from athletic director Mike Gainey at his office in the gym commons. So a head count can be determined, please get your tickets early, although tickets will be available at the door the night of the event.
Awards will be announced for boys and girls basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, indoor track, outdoor track, boys tennis, golf, baseball, softball and girls soccer. Both JV and varsity athletes will be honored.
The highlights of the night will be announcement of the Juan Chesson Sportsmanship Award and the Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards.
